Land of perfect farmer's markets and not-so-awesome chalk graffiti (could you be more non-committal?) Whatever. Like I said, they have perfect farmer's markets. I wish Baltimore could have a dinner-hour market where families from all over could come and chill and eat and play.

California
"This is not California" is what Pepita says about every place we go that isn't Nana's house. We always told her that Nana lives in California, but I guess we should've been more specific. Nana lives in a house in California where there are lots of other houses and cities and towns. If you shared a hotel with us in San Francisco, you heard our daughter running through the halls shouting I want to go back to California! This is not California, Mommy. Don't call it that!" Sorry for the ruckus.

A good day with Nana (not in California)
And in the car...

And then at the Jelly Belly factory. Where the sugar highs never end. Even after you get back to Nana's house. In California.

See What Art With a Heart is All About!
.jpg)
July 15 - August 2, 2009 at The Hexagon: Art with a Heart, A Community Youth Exhibition.
In this exhibition, students from Art with a Heart groups, Success Academy (for students who have endured long-term school suspension), Harford House (a group home for adolescent girls), Kanner and Debuskey Houses (group homes for adolescent boys), Transformations (a group home for adolescent boys), The Children’s Home (a residential facility for adolescent boys and girls) and Tuttie’s Place (a group home for adolescent boys), share artwork that they have completed during their involvement with their programs. The Hexagon is honored to provide an exhibition space for Art with a Heart students who may not otherwise have a chance to share their dynamic artwork with their neighboring artistic communities. In addition to an opening reception, the exhibition will be on display via Hexagon open house during Artscape festivities.
Art with a Heart is a community art organization that provides interactive, hands-on art activities to disadvantaged families and children, and to people with developmental and physical challenges. Flirtees

Flirtees for the ladies. Finally. Recycled fabric and organic cotton flirty trim make for a one of a kind comfy good tee.
Hazel wanted so badly to be a part of the photo shoot. The tees will be available at Artscape. The cat stays here.

I love them.

And the fact that Melissa is a leader in innovation and design, and environmental and social consciousness just seals the deal.
